Malnutrition is yet another challenge India has been facing. According to an estimate, about 189.2 million people are undernourished in India. This includes majority of women and children. The Global Hunger Index has recognised the problem of malnutrition and widespread prevalence of stunting, wasting and nutritional deficiencies in Indian women and children.

  • DAF organises regular food & nutrition camps in Delhi NCR region with the objective of reaching out to poor and uneducated women.
  • In these awareness camps, women are provided with all necessary information related to the importance of having a nutrient-rich foods.
  • We also educate them about the sources of nutrition, which are easily available in their own homes.
  • This helps them in ensuring a good health for themselves, and also for their children and other family members.
  • These workshops, in collaboration with nutritionists, work efficiently towards sensitizing women over the importance of good nutrition.
